Raising Cane’s, the national chain known for its chicken fingers and special sauce, is planning a massive Wisconsin expansion, with a new location coming to Kenosha at 6303 75th St.

The company’s newest 3,331-square-foot location will move into the former home of a 7,025-square-foot office building, according to Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Raising Cane’s is planning to clear the space to use 1.47 acres on the restaurant, while the remaining 0.74 acres will be used for a new 2,441-square-foot Taco John’s, according to city documents. Julia Doyle, Raising Cane’s public relations director, says the company will open this site sometime next year.

This is just the beginning for the Wisconsin market, which only has one Raising Cane’s in Madison, near the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The Kenosha site is the first of 10 planned locations in the Milwaukee area. Closer to Chicagoland, the brand plans to open ten new locations by the end of the year, including a new location across from Millenium Park. The new Kenosha location will be a mile from the I-94 and include a drive-thru for expedited operations.

“Our extended hours of operations help us be a viable food option for customers working second and third late night and early morning shifts such as hospital staff, first responders, police, and others,” state the company in a written proposal, adding that it will employ technology, operational protocols, and security personnel to “ensure the safety of all.”
