A brand new BBQ restaurant called Smokeshow will be making its debut in Naperville, located at 22 E. Chicago Ave.

The new restaurant will move into a shopping complex that also includes Fat Rosie’s Taco and Tequila Bar, Rosebud Italian, and Chipotle, according to the Daily Herald. This won’t be the only new restaurant coming to Naperville from Scott Harris Hospitality, as the group is also opening a third Davanti Enoteca across the street. Both restaurants are expected to open in early Spring 2023. Smokeshow will have chef Dan Moody giving his take on Texas-style BBQ.

“His brisket is unbelievable,” Jaysen Euler, the restaurant group’s executive culinary director, tells the Daily Herald. “I consider myself a Texas hot link connoisseur. I get it at every barbecue spot I go, and I think this is some of the best I’ve tasted.”

While the two new restaurants prove Scott Harris Hospitality is steadily growing, the group was forced to recently close Francesca’s Passaggio after 17 years of business. The group, founded by restaurateur Scott Harris in 1992, opened its first restaurant, Mia Francesca, in Chicago the same year. Two years later and the group opened La Sorella di Francesca, which translates to “the sister of Francesca.” The group then opened Francesca’s Passaggio in 2005. There is currently no plan for what will be replaced at 3124 S. Route 59.
