A popular sushi spot in Lincoln Park is setting up in a building downtown with a high amount of foot traffic.
Sushi Box recently teased their newest location coming to the Accenture Tower at 500 W Madison Street this year. The current restaurant has become a destination for large portions of fresh rolls. Owner Ari Lowenstein told What Now Chicago the team is hoping to open the new Sushi Box by the end of the month.
“Your commute deserves better sushi. We’re bringing something fresh to your routine,” says the recent post.
The Lincoln Park/Lakeview sushi spot sits at 2811 N Broadway near the intersection of W Diversey Parkway and N Clark Street. It’s listed as a takeout location, with portions like 5, 10, 15, 30 and even 120. Popular rolls include the citrus salmon, yellowtail chili ponzu with fried shallots and avocado, and baked firecracker salmon with tempura crunch.
The Ogilvie Transportation Center is housed in the Accenture Tower, where Amtrak and Metra lines pull in. Many other restaurants and shops at the building include Sbarro, Cinnabon, Soul & Smoke, UFOUU poke bar and Deep Purpl Acai Bowls. The exact storefront in the building where Sushi Box is opening has not been announced, but it is next to Hudson News.
What Now Chicago has reached out to Lowenstein and is awaiting further comment. More updates on the second location can be found on their Instagram @getsushibox.
