The smash burger chain is showing no signs of slowing down growth following the recent Palatine and Schaumburg openings.
It was recently reported that following Slaw Burger’s recent debut with two locations in the suburbs, there will be a new burger spot opening at 13530 Illinois Route 59 in Plainfield. Right now, construction is happening inside the space. According to owner Asad Khan, it will open in about a month.
Khan is also the owner of Chicago Stone Gallery in Addison. He has the goal to continue growing his Slaw Burger brand and also raise money for charitable efforts. The two Slaw Burgers are at 1912 N Rand Road in Palatine and 1332 N Roselle Road in Schaumburg.
There are multiple levels of smash burgers served, including the single, double and triple with the option of slaw on top, of course. Combos are also served, like the burger, chicken sandwich and fries. Slaw burger boxes and slaw chicken boxes are on the menu, with catering options available.
According to the Daily Herald article, every month Khan also gives 200 to 500 sandwiches to the nonprofit Chi-Care which gives meals to unhoused populations in Chicago. He wants the business to be “community driven.” There are also plans to open a fourth unannounced location in the future.
The Plainfield restaurant is going in the same plaza as El Barrio II and Taste of China on the north side of the suburb. More information on Slaw Burger can be found on their website theslawburger.com.
