Those wanting New York slices in Naperville will not have to drive far.
The Chicago Tribune recently reported that Slyce of NY is opening their third location at 215 S Washington Street in Naperville. This is on the east side of the city’s downtown. Right now, a March opening date is likely.
Slyce of NY is located in two Chicago suburbs, at 219 E Roosevelt Road in Lombard and 4849 Oakton Street in Skokie. The restaurants are known for both slices and gyros. Their combo chicken and gyros is a popular option, along with unique pizza flavors like the capoli kabob and chipotle tostada.
Originally from New York, owner Syed Warsi has lived in the Chicago area for years and has wanted to bring New York slices to the suburbs. He also takes inspiration from food vendors that serve chicken and gyro rice in New York. When What Now Chicago reached out to Warsi, he was not yet available for comment.
The third Slyce of NY location will be at the corner of W Jefferson Avenue and S Washington Street, behind Nando’s PERi-PERi, and Noodles and Company. An official opening date and status of construction have not been released, but in a recent social media post, staff said there are major projects from the company coming next year.
“Big things loading for 2026,” said the post.
