A new tavern is opening in the vibrant Logan Square area soon.

A liquor license application was recently submitted for Sixth Room Spirits at 2412-2414 N Milwaukee Avenue. Currently at this address is Deadbolt, a cocktail lounge with music and bar food. Owner Esam Hani told What Now Chicago there is no opening date yet.

Hani looks to be the founder of One Of A Kind Hospitality, with restaurants and bars under the name including Cafe Can Leche, Saba Italian Bar + Kitchen, The Harding Tavern and Red Star Liquor & Deli. He is a lifelong Logan Square resident, and has been described as “the face of change” in the neighborhood.

The new tavern will be going at the corner of N Milwaukee and W Fullerton avenues. It will join other bars such as The Native, The Whistler and The Welcome Back Lounge. This area is also home to restaurants and art galleries.

Hani said he and his team are in the early stages of planning the tavern, and the business has been listed as active on the Illinois Secretary of State website since July 15. . When asked if there will be food served, he did not want to give an answer. More information will be released in the coming weeks.
