Taverna Naxos plans to bring Greece to residents of Wilmette in July, offering unique flavors from Grecia Isles at its Greek-themed restaurant.

Managing partner, Cameel Halim, told What Now Chicago that Taverna Naxos will focus on offering “authentic” Greek cuisine to customers when it opens. The restaurant will be located at 111 Green Bay Road, where Firefly Kitchen was once located.

Taverna Naxos applied for a liquor license with the Village of Wilmette in April, according to The Record North Shore. The restaurant will be open all week long except on Tuesdays, according to its website which is currently live.

The new Greek restaurant will have a capacity of 60 guests in its primary dining room and 30 guests in its outdoor patio. A total of 30 other guests can be seated on the second floor.

“With some of the most delicious combinations of ingredients, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Loved by locals and traveling foodies alike, now is the perfect time for you to join us today at Taverna Naxos,” read the restaurant’s website.
