The San Francisco-based coffee company is moving into the growing Oakbrook Center mall in the near future.
Blue Bottle Coffee recently put a sign up at the mall, 100 Oakbrook Center, for their new location. The company already has two shops in Chicago. There is not yet an estimated date of opening.
Not much is known about the new Blue Bottle Coffee location, as it is not yet listed on the company website. Crain’s Chicago Business reported it will join other tenants coming to the mall such as Hotel Chocolat cafe and The Purple Pig.
This is not the only new shop from the company as the location just opened in San Francisco’s Mission Rock neighborhood. They also have a presence in New York, DC, Massachusetts as well as multiple locations in Asia. It first started in 2002 by James Freeman in Oakland, California.
The cafes serve coffees that customers would expect including espressos, macchiatos, cappuccinos and mochas. The Hayes Valley espresso is a favorite option as well. Pastries, lemonades and hot chocolate milk are also on the menu.
Right now, it is not confirmed where at the mall the shop will be located. What Now Chicago has reached out to Blue Bottle Coffee for further comment on the shop. For more information about the company, visit their website.
