The Original Tin Roof, a Nashville-based music bar with locations throughout the country, is opening a new site in Wrigleyville at 3519 N. Clark St.

The company recently placed permits in the window of development at the corner of Addison & Clark, according to Southport Corridor News. Tin Roof already has nearly two dozen locations throughout the country in major cities such as San Diego, Detroit, Raleigh, and two in Nashville. When the new Wrigleyville venue opens up later this year, customers can expect plenty of tasty food options and an eclectic environment. Some items on the menu include chicken wings, Nashville hot chicken dip, tacos, quesadillas, burgers, sandwiches, and salads.

The Original Tin Roof was founded in 2002 to give musicians a place to play and a place to hang out when they weren’t on stage, according to the company’s website. This will be the company’s first location in Illinois, with plenty in the surrounding states. It will surely see plenty of foot traffic being just a few steps away from Wrigley and surrounded by other eateries, including Shake Shack, Kilwins, and Chipotle. While there are plenty of other places to grab a drink nearby, such as Slugger’s World Class Sports Bar, Moe’s Cantina, and Merkle’s Bar & Grill across the street, none of these establishments are a place to listen to live music.

“Our continued mission is to create opportunities for our Crew, musicians & live music, all while creating an amazing place to hang for our customers ‘Where Everybody is Somebody,’’” according to the company’s website. “To fulfill that mission, we’ve taken that original Tin Roof vibe and the musicians who create it on a permanent tour by opening new locations across the nation. So whether you’re coming for the tunes, the tasty food, a drink, or just a good time, enjoy the Roof, support live music and the musicians who bring it to us, and we hope we’ll see ya enough to call you a Regular!”
