Tropical Smoothie Cafe, the largest smoothie chain in the United States*, announced the opening of its newest cafe in the Chicago Loop at 24 E. Madison St., just two blocks from Grant Park and situated amid the hustle and bustle of commuters, tourists, shoppers, and entertainment. To celebrate its opening, the cafe is hosting a grand opening celebration on November 8, featuring a series of welcoming promotions.
To mark the grand opening occasion, the new cafe is giving the first 50 guests in line when the doors open at 8 a.m., free smoothies for a year. Plus, until close at 9 p.m., the cafe will commemorate the grand opening with prizes, giveaways, and freebies for everyone coming through the door. During the first weekend, guests can enjoy a free smoothie with any food or bowl purchase.
Chicagoland Tropical Smoothie Cafe franchisees Cesar Coronado and Marlon Sullivan are behind the Chicago Loop location and nine others throughout the market. Together, they will open an additional cafe in Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood a week after the Madison St. opening.

Coronado and Sullivan have proven to be at the top of their game in running Tropical Smoothie Cafe locations in Chicagoland. The duo won Rookie of the Year honors early in their franchise ownership journey with the brand and have since become a powerhouse in the market, recently opening new cafes in both Streeterville and Evanston this year. Their Chicago Loop Cafe continues that momentum, with a fully renovated and modernized interior designed to deliver lively, tropical vibes that guests can enjoy with every sip and bite.
