Terry Psaltakis, a partner of West Loop’s The Black Barrel Tavern, confirmed Friday over a phone interview with What Now Chicago that he will be opening at second location of the popular eatery. The Black Barrel Tavern Old Town will open at 445 W. North Avenue, although Psaltakis says no date has been set just yet.

The Black Barrel Tavern has been in operation for a little over two years now, and Psaltakis shared you can expect to find the same great dishes and sport-friendly atmosphere you’ve come to know and love at the new outpost.

The tavern’s menu is described as modern Americana and brunch fare, which, in addition to burgers, sandwiches, and salads, comes in the form of starters like homemade egg rolls, burrata with roasted garlic pesto and fresh tomato, and tuna tartare tacos. The tavern is also known for its sprawling selection of craft cocktails, beers, and wines and bubbles. Next to brunch essentials like cocktails, benedicts, and omelets, you can indulge in plates like Curried Salmon Toast, Breakfast Grilled Cheese, and Chilaquiles.

On the corner of N Cleveland and W North, The Black Barrel Tavern Old Town will neighbor other restaurants and businesses like Forastero Restaurant, All About Dance, and Hom Mali Thai.

Keep an eye on Black Barrel’s social media for updates.
