City permit filings show that another Smoothie King may be coming to Columbus. According to the permit document, Northern Blends Holding, LLC is making plans to open at 3769 S High St, in the south part of the city. The language in the permit filing explains that the work to be performed is for a remodel of the interior existing tenant space, with no exterior work needed, with the total job projected to cost $370,000.

Northern Blends opened the most recent Columbus area Smoothie King store at 5051 N High St late last summer. According to information found on its website, the company has over 1,000 franchise locations across three continents.

Smoothie King is known for offering fast, healthy smoothies on the go, with mobile ordering options and a customer rewards program. The menu includes a variety of drinkable smoothies that can be customized based on a customer’s dietary needs, such as smoothies for anyone following the keto diet, high protein smoothies, and energizing blends that feature coffee. The chain also sells smoothie bowls with names like açai cocoa haze, berry goji getaway and bee berry sting.

What Now Columbus reached out to a representative with Northern Blends for comment on the anticipated opening timeline, but didn’t receive an immediate response.
