National coffee chain Biggby Coffee continues its expansion in the Columbus area with yet another location opening at 5026 N Hamilton Rd, according to a recent permit filing. The coffee franchise currently has 300 locations throughout the Midwest and the East Coast, and as previously reported by What Now Columbus, several new locations have been announced in the Columbus and Dayton areas in recent months.

As detailed by the permit, the Hamilton Road Biggby Coffee spot will be a drive-thru space located in the parking lot of a Meijer grocery store. The project has been in the works for a while and a previous permit was issued, but expired due to unexpected delays, per language in the current permit filing. The cost to construct the drive-thru location is $200,000, according to the permit filing.

What Now Columbus reached out for comment on groundbreaking and a projected opening timeline, but didn’t receive an immediate response.

Biggby Coffee serves java drinks like lattes and americano, as well as tea and their signature smoothies called a creme freeze, available in a number of fruit based flavors. In addition to drinks, they also serve pastries like muffins and bagels, as well as breakfast and lunch sandwiches.
