According to a recent Columbus Business First article, popular sandwich shop Marlow’s Cheesesteaks is planning to open at Budd Dairy Food Hall, located at 1086 N 4th St, in Italian Village. The business started in 2020 as a food truck before opening a brick and mortar at 93 N High St, in Gahanna in 2022.

Although the Philly cheesesteak business has operated as a temporary tenant in the food hall’s rotating Hatch incubator space, Marlow’s Cheesesteaks is now set to become a permanent tenant, in the former home of Alphabetical Comfort Kitchen

The eatery is owned by husband and wife and Philadelphia natives Jomar and Shanika Sheppard. What Now Columbus reached out to the Sheppards for comment on the second location, but a comment was not available at the time of this article’s publication.

Marlow’s Cheesesteaks offers everything from a classic Philly, served with steak, sauteed onions and cheese whiz, to a vegetarian option made with sauteed onions, mushrooms and a blend of hot and sweet peppers, and there’s even a salmon cheesesteak, prepared with grilled salmon, sauteed onions, mushrooms, hot peppers and a cheese of choice.

The eatery is slated to open at Budd Dairy Food Hall on March 5.
