According to recent reporting, Bodega plans to add an adjoined, one-room speakeasy this summer. Apt. B will serve as an attached sister concept to the popular Bodega, located at 1044 N High St.

The speakeasy will be located directly behind Bodega, and the name is derived from the fact that the spot was a vacant apartment. The speakeasy will operate in a 750 square foot space and will focus on serving craft cocktails. And although Apt. B is a speakeasy concept, anyone wishing to grab a drink at the hot spot won’t need to know a secret password in order to visit.

Brian Swanson owns Bodega – as well as sister concepts Bristol Republic and Worthington Tavern – and Apt B. will be the fourth concept launched by the local restaurateur. What Now Columbus reached out to Swanson for more information about the forthcoming speakeasy, but didn’t receive a response.

Although the exact opening date for Apt. B and cocktail menu haven’t been shared yet, if the cocktail program at Bodega is any indication, it stands to reason the speakeasy will serve a variety of drinks to compliment its neighboring sister concept. Bodega’s cocktail menu includes fresh fruit lemonades, mules, sangria and a number of seasonal house cocktails.
