According to a recent permit filing, a new cafe called Parsons Ave Cafe will open in Merion Village at 1014 Parsons Ave. The permit filing details, which have been viewed by What Now Columbus, describe permitting for work to add a new kitchen with sinks, a new bar and front door to an existing space.
What Now Columbus reached out for comment on the eatery’s concept and projected timeline for opening, but were told that additional details about the cafe weren’t available to share at this time.
When it does open, the cafe should fill a much needed gap in the neighborhood. Currently the area of Parsons Ave where the cafe will be located has very few food and drink options. According to Google maps, there’s Rumours Bar and a Pizza Hut on the same block where the cafe will operate.
