A country-inspired nightlife concept backed by country music star Chase Rice is making its way to the Short North, according to The Columbus Dispatch.
Welcome to the Farm will open at 906 N. High St., taking over the first floor of Good Night John Boy. The concept is expected to debut around the same time Rice performs at KEMBA Live! This August.
Rice is partnering with Forward Hospitality, the parent company of Good Night John Boy, to bring the country-themed bar to Columbus. The concept first launched in Cleveland’s Flats district in 2021 before expanding to St. Petersburg, Florida, the following year.
According to a recent announcement, Welcome to the Farm will feature a rotating lineup of country-focused DJs and live music, an extensive bourbon and whiskey programme, signature cocktails and a game day-friendly atmosphere designed for everything from weekend outings to Buckeyes watch parties.
The venue will accommodate approximately 100 guests with both indoor seating and an outdoor patio.
Guests can also expect menu items similar to those offered at the Cleveland location, including smash burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches and fried chicken tenders, alongside signature cocktails such as a spicy mango margarita. Large-format drinks, including a mimosa tower and a grapefruit margarita served in a cowboy hat, are also featured at the original location.
Rice, who is no stranger to Columbus, said the city has long held a special place for him. The singer-songwriter, whose father grew up in nearby Grove City, previously performed at the WCOL Country Jam in 2017 and opened for Old Dominion at Nationwide Arena in 2023.
“This has always been one of those places I’ve loved coming back to,” Rice said in a statement shared with the publication mentioned above. “Bringing The Farm to Short North just feels right, and I can’t wait for everybody to come hang with us this summer.”
What Now Columbus reached out to the owners for comment, but did not receive a response by the time of publication. This article will be updated as more information becomes available.
