India Grocers is preparing to expand its presence in Central Ohio with a new location planned for Dublin, according to the Columbus Business First.

The grocery retailer is renovating the former Big Lots space at 6569 Sawmill Road, bringing a new international grocery shopping destination to the area. The location is one of several former Big Lots properties across Central Ohio that have found new tenants following the discount retailer’s closure in 2025.

While details regarding the size of the store and opening timeline have not yet been announced, the redevelopment signals continued demand for specialty grocery concepts in the growing Dublin market.

India Grocers is known for offering a wide selection of Indian and South Asian products, including fresh produce, spices, rice, lentils, frozen foods, snacks, beverages, and household essentials. Many locations also carry specialty ingredients and imported goods that cater to diverse culinary traditions and cultural communities.

The new store is expected to provide residents with expanded access to international grocery products while adding another retail option along the busy Sawmill Road corridor.

What Now Columbus reached out for additional information regarding the upcoming store, including ownership details and an anticipated opening date, but had not received a response at the time of publication. This article will be updated if additional information becomes available.
