While chickens are not particularly celebrated for their flying prowess, one of the top poultry chains on the market is providing the birds with proximity to flight-albeit in a sandwich or finger fashion. Raising Cane’s is opening a new location in the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, reports the Dallas Business Journal.
The impossibly popular chain will be winging its way to Gate B19 in the 2400 Aviation Drive transportation hub. While this news is exciting for all travelling chicken fans, Raising Cane’s new location will be particularly thrilling for late night flyers who are feeling a bit peckish; it will be the DFW’s first Cane’s to be open 24 hours.
A timeline for the fast-casual eatery’s opening is nebulous; the restaurant received approval from the DFW Airport board on May 1. The board describes the DFW Airport Cane’s as: “part of dozens of new concessions coming online over the next few years”, which does not offer a great deal of clarity chronologically, but does at least provide hope for travellers that the brand’s signature fare is on the way.
Raising Cane’s is undeniably the buzziest name in the chicken scene right now. The chain has been around for quite some time-the brand launched in Louisiana in 1996-but the past few years have seen it entering intensive expansion mode.
Raising Cane’s has earned a massive fan-following through its small but powerful menu consisting of made-to-order chicken tenders, sandwiches, crinkle cut fries, Texas Toast, and coleslaw. The chain has grown to include more than 849 locations across the country.
