Texas Roadhouse is converting a covered patio into an enclosed dining room at its restaurant at 6672 NW Loop 820 in Fort Worth, with construction planned to wrap up in February 2027. The renovation covers 476 square feet and is expected to cost about $150,000. The enclosed space will give the steakhouse more year-round indoor seating, a useful addition in a Texas climate where outdoor patios can be hard to use during the hottest months.
The menu is built around hand-cut steaks, barbecue ribs and made-from-scratch sides, including a 6-ounce fillet served with grilled shrimp. Like other Texas Roadhouse locations, the restaurant is also known for its fresh-baked rolls.
The restaurant opened in December 2023 as a 7,831-square-foot sit-down location with a full bar, after a roughly $2 million construction project. It opened with more than 200 full- and part-time jobs, and the opening was preceded by invitation-only dinners for local police, firefighters and emergency room staff from Lake Worth and White Settlement, which benefited the Spina Bifida Association of North Texas.
Texas Roadhouse was founded in 1993 by Kent Taylor, with the first restaurant opening February 2017, that year at the Green Tree Mall in Clarksville, Indiana. The company is based in Louisville, Kentucky, and has grown to roughly 870 locations. In 2025, it passed Olive Garden to become the largest casual-dining chain in the country by sales, according to Technomic.
The Fort Worth restaurant is along Loop 820 on the city’s northwest side, near Lake Worth, and draws customers from the surrounding neighborhoods.
