Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii is set to open its second Colorado location later this year. Chris Ruszkowski, vice president of marketing at Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii, told What Now Denver they are aiming to open the location near Colorado Springs in December.

Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii chose to open in Peyton because of the growth and opportunity in the area. “It’s ideal for a coffee shop to go in there. There’s a brewery nearby, there are other restaurants. So it’s a good fit, definitely a great area, and a growing Colorado Springs market,” Ruszkowski said.

The Colorado-based franchise company is planning more growth within the state, as well as continued growth across the U.S. including in Nashville and Phoenix. Just last week, Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii opened its first Colorado location at 2990 N. Speer Blvd. in Denver.

The company is famous for its Hawaiian coffee. “People come to us for 100% Kona and Kona blends,” Ruszkowski said. Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii also offers frozen blended drinks, lattes, teas, and more.

“People love to stop in and buy things like t-shirts, hats, and mugs that say ‘Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii,’” Ruszkowski stated. “We take our name from the hardworking donkeys that really helped bring Kona coffee to the masses. They would work on the volcanic hillsides and bring the coffee down.”

The new Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii will be located at 11910 Tourmaline Drive in Peyton, CO 80831.
