Cap City Tavern, a longtime favorite in Denver’s Golden Triangle, will close on July 27. It made the announcement through its official website and an Instagram post.
The decision comes after Cap City Tavern’s 18 years of service at 1247 Bannock St., Denver, CO 80204. Owner Dino McTaggart said rising costs, including higher wages, food prices, and taxes, contributed to the difficult decision.
In its farewell message, the bar thanked patrons for 18 years of memories, from bingo brunches and birthday parties to sports nights and happy hours.
The last day of business at Cap City Tavern will be Sunday, July 27. Until then, the bar will remain open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., closed on Mondays. Guests can enjoy one last round of beers, cocktails, and casual eats like burgers and sandwiches.
Operations to Continue at Sister Bar ‘Bannock Street Garage’
