Jeff and Kristin Lockhart have officially secured a location for their long-awaited craft brewery that has been in the making for a while, the Denver Gazette reports. Armillary Brewing, which debuts later this year, will be located at 4810 Old Farm Drive, Unit #120 in northeast Colorado Springs.
It will transform a former coffee shop located in the end unit of a three-tenant plaza into a classic neighborhood brewery, an amenity that’s lacking in that area. The modest space will have a small pizza kitchen serving house-made sourdough pies and paninis alongside a rotating lineup of beers.
The project is now progressing through the different phases of working with the city to get the spot open. A liquor license hearing is listed as pending on city records. Jeff is an award-winning brewer who has a GABF Gold Medal and two World Beer Cup Bronze Medals, and helped launch Ouray Brewing and Red Leg Brewing.
Originally known as Constellation Brewing, Armillary Brewing rebranded early on in the concept development stages. There was a trademark conflict with Constellation Brands, Inc., the Fortune 500 beverage company behind Corona and Modelo. What Now Denver covered that earlier this year.
