Black Rock Coffee Bar is planning a new drive-thru location in Colorado Springs, city planning records have revealed. The beverage company is working on a new outpost at 3565 Spectrum Air Way, at a new development site right across the street from the city’s airport.
Sierra Hicks, Sr. Marketing Manager for the company, confirmed there is an “upcoming location [off] Milton E Proby Parkway”. Records are currently listed as “in review” and a timeframe for opening is not known.
The site is listed as vacant commercial land. Originally, the project involved constructing a 2,434-square-foot building, but plans have apparently been modified to reduce the square footage to under 1,500. DTV Milton Proby, Inc. is listed as the owner, with architectural design by Russo LLC and landscape architecture by Galloway & Co. Civil. Engineering services are being provided by M&S Civil Consultants.
This is one of the latest initiatives in Black Rock Coffee Bar’s impressive expansion plans. QSR Magazine reports the brand aims to grow its portfolio by 20% annually for the next few years. The goal is to hit 600 units by 2027, and eventually reach the thousand-unit mark.
