Longtime local favorite Breakfast Club is expanding once again, this time bringing its signature comfort food and community charm to the Northern Colorado town of Greeley. According to 99.9 The Point, the chain is prepping to open at 2109 9th St., the site of the former El Charro restaurant, which closed in 2018 after nearly 60 years in business.
Last month, the business announced the Greeley expansion on social media, and it has since been actively sharing renovation updates. Remodeling efforts in the space have included removing old popcorn ceilings, installing new tile, and repainting. There will be booth and table seating, a 10-seat bar/diner counter, a patio, and a private lot with ample parking, owner Dakota Soifer told What Now Denver.
“We’re excited to grow our independently owned restaurant with over 30 years in business to Greeley! Our quality, home-made dishes served at a fair price in a friendly and welcoming environment will be a great fit for the community. We can’t wait to start serving y’all!” he said.
This is the third location for the restaurant concept, which started in Fort Collins in 1990 and subsequently grew to add a Loveland store in 2020. Soifer and his wife Michelle bought the chain in 2022 after the founders divorced and ran the locations separately, NOCO Style explains.
The couple brings an extensive culinary and hospitality background: they also own Café Aion and Brasserie Boulder. Dakota is a celebrated chef and “Cutthroat Kitchen” winner, and Michelle has been in the restaurant business a long time.
