Capital Grille Restaurant to Replace Red Lobster

A new Capital Grille location is set to open in Lone Tree at the site of a former Red Lobster restaurant just west of Park Meadows Mall. A local realtor’s post brought attention to the project going on at 9067 Westview Road.

Plans submitted to the city state the proposed redevelopment will bring a contemporary steakhouse to the area, with plans for a nearly 9,000-square-foot building that will provide seating for 256 guests. The existing Red Lobster structure will be demolished and replaced.

Records show the new building will feature multiple areas, including a sleek bar, private dining spaces for groups, and a main dining room. The site will also offer 119 parking spaces. Project applicants anticipate the project to move through the approval process by Q1 of 2025 and that the restaurant will open its doors by the spring of 2026.

The new Capital Grille will be the second location in Colorado, joining the existing one on Larimer Square in Denver. The restaurant chain, owned by Darden Restaurants, operates over 60 locations nationwide, according to Business Den

Capital Grille told What Now Denver, “Unfortunately, we don’t have any information to provide at this time” when asked for comment on the project.
