Cencalli Taqueria and Agaveria is bringing its celebrated blend of Mexican tradition and modern flair to Parker, liquor licensing data shows. Records reveal that the concept, run by a popular local restaurateur, has been approved to sell alcohol at 19757 Pikes Peak Ave.
Owners Zoemi Romero and Andres Venalonzo are residents of Parker and have envisioned opening a restaurant in their own community for a while. They opened the first outpost of the restaurant in Littleton in late 2023, according to Colorado Community Media. They also previously operated Colonna’s Pizza in Centennial.
Cencalli, named after the Nahuatl word for “family,” has a menu of homemade recipes alongside agave spirits and craft cocktails. The eatery has won several awards, including Best Tacos of 2025 from the Best of Mile High and Best Margarita for the al pastor marg at this week’s Margarita Festival.
Leasing records show that the business will be taking over for Island Verde Restaurant, a Puerto Rican cuisine spot that’s reportedly transitioning into a food truck. A 2,015-square-foot space, it also previously housed Havana Bakery & Cafe.
