Denver’s ice cream scene is about to get even more exciting with the anticipated third location of Colfax and Cream coming. Westword reports that owner Tullie Bailey is working on opening the store at 712 1/2 South Pearl Street.
Bailey and his wife, Senait, have formed a concept that’s more than just a sweet shop. The creative brand blends the energy of skate culture and nightlife with ice cream, tea, coffee, and refreshers. Vibrant murals adorn the walls and the business sells trendy merch.
The original Colfax and Cream opened in May 2024 at 1238 East Colfax Avenue, nestled between high-traffic skate and tattoo shops. The second location opened in October at 1100 Broadway. Now the focus shifts to this new location, which is in the Wash Park neighborhood.
“We’ve kind of revved this thing up pretty quickly. So I think for the next year, we’re just going to really focus on the Denver market,” Bailey said.
With a space of approximately 450 square feet, the new location is a grab-and-go-style place that features a back patio with seating for up to 50 people. The lease was signed in August. Bailey told What Now Denver he plans to start serving ice cream out of the company’s sprinter van while they wait for approval from the city to open.
