El Pollo Loco recently signed a multi-unit franchise agreement with Pikes Pollo, Inc. to open four restaurants in the West Denver area. The first two West Denver locations will open in Arvada and Littleton. Pikes Pollo is looking to Lakewood and Westminster to open the other two. There’s no word, yet, on specific addresses for the locations.
“The Denver area is an amazing community and an ideal fit for El Pollo Loco as the brand continues to strengthen its roots and expand. We look forward to bringing the excitement of El Pollo Loco to the area,” said Al Amiri, President of Pikes Pollo, in a press release. Pikes Pollo already operates three El Pollo Loco restaurants in California. “The strong reputation of El Pollo Loco, combined with our experience with the brand in California, makes this agreement a natural fit for us.”
The West Denver restaurants will feature a new El Pollo Loco prototype design to include a dining room that opens up to an expansive patio, as well as a drive-thru and designated curbside pick-up parking. The prototype will also feature an enhanced digitized experience including “Pollo To Go” cubbies for mobile to-go and delivery orders, digital menu boards, and GPS-enabled curbside pick-up.
The fire-grilled chicken restaurant marinates its chicken in a mixture of citrus, garlic, and spice. The chicken is featured in a number of menu items such as El Pollo Loco’s tacos, burritos, bowls, and salads. Vegan menu options are also available.
El Pollo Loco plans to open 10 -15 restaurants in the Denver Metro area and up to five in the Colorado Springs area over the next five years. Since first starting in Los Angeles in 1980, El Pollo Loco has opened nearly 500 restaurants in six states.
Extremely poor journalism from Amber Browne who supposedly has decades of experience as a “journalist”. You give information about restaurants opening but give zero info as to the date or time that any of the restaurants would open which would have been the very natural next thing to mention in the article. Def won’t be buying or recommending your book. If you’re this bad at providing such basic info on such story, then imagine just how much more a “book”from you would leave out !!!
