I Scream Gelato, the popular boutique franchise known for its handcrafted Italian gelato, is expanding its reach with a new location coming to the Colorado Springs area. According to Restaurant Magazine, the company is on a growth campaign with the help of new franchisees.

Lisa Baugher and her husband are the operators of this endeavor. She tells What Now Denver they are actively searching for the perfect spot to open their store somewhere in Colorado Springs or the surrounding towns.

“We are thrilled to be able to bring real Italian gelato to the Colorado Springs area,” Baugher said. She said she was first introduced to the brand when visiting the store in Breckenridge and was pleasantly surprised.

Founded in 2019, I Scream Gelato has quickly gained a reputation for its authentic gelato, prepared in-house using ingredients sourced directly from Italy. The menu has a variety of flavors, including classic options like chocolate and vanilla, as well as seasonal specialties. There are also offerings like as Whiskey Barrel coffee, bubble waffles, and pancakes.

The company has plans to expand with multiple new locations across the U.S., including ventures in Georgia, Pennsylvania, New York, and California. Its current stores are in Frisco, Denver, Miami, Columbus, Gulf Shores, and the Breckenridge flagship.
