Leven Supply, a restaurant, grocery, gift and wine shop, opens in the Wash Park Supply retail center (300 E. Alameda Ave.) on Monday, Jan. 13, 2025. Building upon the successful business model Leven Deli Co. has created since opening in Denver’s Golden Triangle neighborhood in 2018, Supply features Leven’s sandwiches and high-quality eats in a to-go-style experience alongside a thoughtfully curated selection of high-end grocery goods and an approachable wine selection.
“We’ve put so much intention into making Leven Supply a community gathering space and resource for the Wash Park neighborhood, and we can’t wait to open our doors,” says Anthony Lygizos, Leven’s proprietor in a statement. “Whether folks are looking for a scratch-made lunch, a picnic meal for Wash Park or mountain adventures, a convenient take-home family dinner, a unique product to inspire their next cooking adventure, or a great bottle of wine and host gift to take to a party, Supply is truly a one-stop shop.”
While Supply’s menu is built on the same scratch baking and high-quality ingredient sourcing that Leven Deli is known for, Supply also has a new menu category: pizza. Naturally leavened with sourdough from Leven’s bakery facility, these pies come topped with premium ingredients such as house-made pomodoro sauce, Sicilian anchovies, Jimmy Nardello peppers, burrata, Manilla clams and more. “Our sourdough starter is at the heart of Leven’s bread program, and it’s exciting to see what it can do when applied to pizza dough,” says bakery manager Doug Anderson. “Our Neapolitan-style, thin-crust pies offer a crispy, bubbly crust with great structure and flavor.”
Supply’s menu also includes made-to-order grilled and cold sandwiches (including ones made with Leven’s signature house-made, 12-day dry-aged pastrami); fresh Mediterranean-inspired salads; and small plates like arancini, bruschetta, elevated mozzarella sticks made with sourdough breadcrumbs, lamb meatballs and tinned fish with grilled bread. Desserts include soft-serve ice cream, house-made tiramisu and warm chocolate chip cookies.
The 2,800-square-foot space at ZS Capital and Elkco Properties new 20,000-square-foot retail center, Wash Park Supply, was designed in collaboration with Semple Brown, Williams Construction and W West Equipment. Supply offers 40 seats for guests wanting to dine in (eventually, there will be a patio which will offer additional outdoor seating). The restaurant incorporates hand-picked Mediterranean-inspired cobalt-blue floral tiles, custom upholstered chairs, earthy rattan pendant lights, live plants and up-cycled materials, including the large, salvaged table used for a retail display. Leven Supply is also home to a mini print vending machine from artist Anastasia Inciardi, which offers custom-made works of art unique to Leven Supply.
Lygizos, an alum of renowned Denver restaurant Potager, is also a sommelier, and has curated the shop’s wine selection, focusing on value-driven and approachable picks, most of which are under $25 a bottle. The shop also highlights Denver-centric high-end grocery goods including local products from brands like Lottie’s Meats & Provisions, Not Bad Cooks sauces, Tea with Tae, Sfoglina Denver pasta, 3rd Bird Kombucha, dried flower arrangements from Bella’s Blooms and ceramics from City Mud, as well as Leven’s own house-made granola, pizza toppings, sauces, sides and more. To enjoy even more of Leven at home, guests can also sign up for Leven’s new monthly culinary subscription box. Facilitated through Table 22, an e-commerce platform specializing in restaurant subscriptions, the boxes showcase deli favorites and retail offerings from Leven Supply.
