Local favorite Lolley’s Ice Cream is preparing to expand with a second location planned for downtown Colorado Springs, Side Dish with Schniper revealed this week. The small business, which started in Monument, expects to welcome guests at the new shop, 216 N Tejon Street, in the spring.
This expansion comes as Lolley’s approaches five years since debuting its flagship, Voyage Denver notes. Owners Shelley Sapp and Dustin Sapp started by recreating recipes at home before deciding to open a shop of their own. They offer a fully gluten-free menu.
The new downtown Colorado Springs space will offer 16 signature flavors of ice cream, as well as a few rotating seasonal options. They also plan to serve fountain sodas, house-made floats, and an expanded baked goods line. There will be indoor seating and a rear patio for guests to enjoy their goodies.
Lolley’s is moving into the property that used to house a Berkshire Hathaway Realtors office, which has relocated. It’s next to T-Byrd’s Tacos & Tequila and across from Acacia Park.
