After more than a year of closure due to a plumbing issue, Cart-Driver LoHi is finally reopening, according to Westword. Located at 2239 West 30th Avenue, the popular wood-fired pizza and oyster spot has had repairs done and will welcome guests back.

“We closed 390 days ago. So this day has been a long time coming. We’re just super excited to reactivate the space, to bring our team back, and to be able to serve again,” Andy Niemeyer, owner, told What Now Denver.

He said that service will be walk-ins only during the first weekend, and reservations will open following that. He said about half of the staff are veterans, some coming from the RiNo outpost, and half are new trainees.

Cart-Driver first debuted in 2014 in RiNo, housed in a small shipping container. The LoHi location opened in 2018, taking over the former Z Cuisine space, which had a loyal following as a French bistro. Niemeyer purchased the building for $1.5 million, Eater reports

The place is known for its signature Neapolitan pizzas, house-made pasta, fresh oysters, and a curated selection of wine, beer, and craft cocktails. Executive Chef Brian Wilson, who joined the team in 2018, has been instrumental in shaping the menu.
