Records from the City of Denver show that Starbucks has applied for permits to renovate its 4505 Peoria St. store. The Montbello location has been serving patrons there for over a decade.

Structural plan permits filed last week state that the existing 1,750-square-foot property will be renovated via “new construction of walls, ceiling, fixtures, equipment and finishes for café…new storefront windows and doors, new patio railing.”

The estimated valuation of the work is listed at $385,000: $220,00 in construction, $75,000 in electrical, $65,000 in plumbing, and $25,000 in mechanical.

Last year, Starbucks announced a $450 million effort to revamp stores in North America, as well as open 2,0000 more. The company is shifting to a focus more on drive-thru and delivery. The Peoria location is right off I-70 and sees heavy commuter traffic.
