In addition to a massive, 188,000-square foot, $46 million senior living center, a commercial kitchen and dining retail units will accompany the MorningStar at Old Town development. First reported by The Coloradoan as “the last underdeveloped lot on North College Avenue in Old Town,” the facilities at 360 Tenney Ct. in Fort Collins began construction last May and is expected to wrap in early 2024.

According to the MorningStar website, the complex will contain 90 independent- and 45 assisted-living suites along with 25 memory care residences. Residents will have access to a dining room, bistro, and club supplied by a commercial kitchen. MorningStar did not respond to comment on who might be cooking the food or what the menu might be. In addition to the dining and drinking sections, MorningStar at Old Town will offer a fitness center, pool, and movie theater.

The mixed-used senior community is the first of its kind in Fort Collins. On its website, MorningStar promises to “seamlessly blend the signature architecture of Old Town with the historic feel of College Avenue.” Along with dining, The Coloradoan reports that there will likely be private banking and a pharmacy.
