Pharaoh’s Billiards is moving from its current Superior venue at 404 Marshall Rd to a new location. The business will be opening in March at 380 Main Street in Longmont, the company tells What Now Denver.

Owner David Motarjemi, who has a background in electrical engineering and real estate, explained that the main motivation to move is that the new location is to be in a more pedestrian-friendly area. The new location is in the downtown district.

It is a historic two-story building built in 1910, previously home to Breaker’s and a former Woolworth Co. store. Motarjemi purchased the space for $2.6 million after it sat empty for four to five years. A larger facility, it will feature up to 12 pool tables.

The new Longmont venue will have a full bar and a menu offering select entrée. A liquor license was approved in October. It will also host its traditional leagues and tournaments, and Motarjemi hopes it will become a hub for the local billiard community.
