The incoming PrimoHoagies location will open at 8160 South Holly Street Centennial, CO 80122, according to the company’s website. Eric Bonner, chief operating officer at PrimoHoagies Franchising Inc., told What Now Denver that, unlike the Denver store, construction for the Centennial location has not yet begun, so a 2023 debut is likely.

PrimoHoagies was founded in Philadelphia in 1992 by Richard and Colleen Neigre. Ten years later, in 2002, the company began franchising. Today, PrimoHoagies has clusters of locations on the east coast and has favorably begun to branch out west. Sadly, founder Richard Neigre, died suddenly earlier this year at the age of 65, leaving behind “a legacy of good food, generosity, and an extreme devotion to his family.”

PrimoHoagies offers an array of delicious sandwich selections ranging from The Italian Classics to The Diablos selection – a slew of hoagies spiced up with ingredients like hot pepper cheese, Buffalo sauce, and hot capicola.

A What Now Denver interview with the Centennial franchise owner Bob Tunstall is forthcoming.

The article has been updated to include a What Now Denver interview with Franchisee Bob Tunstall.

WND: What can customers expect from your PrimoHoagies location?

BT: Gourmet meats and cheeses, freshly sliced to order and piled high on our award-winning bread. There is nothing like the bread from back East. We will be locally owned by Philly natives that see a true differentiator in the Centennial market. We are passionate about our hoagies and cheesesteaks in Philadelphia and are excited for Centennial to taste the difference of Primo. Customers can also expect quick service, quality food, and a friendly atmosphere with customer satisfaction and the forefront.

WND: Why Centennial?

BT: It’s a well-established community where we believe our concept and specialty sandwiches are truly differentiated. We are excited to serve Centennial residents and businesses with our gourmet specialty sandwiches. We will be offering catering and delivery services to make tasting the Primo difference as convenient as possible. My wife grew up in the area and many of the family still reside there.

WND: What are your hopes for your store?

BT: To be the go-to Italian specialty sandwich and deli in the community. We hope to engrain ourselves in the fabric of the community and build lasting relationships with our customers. Primo is also known for their efforts to give back in the community and we look forward to playing our part.
