Pub Dog Colorado, a dog-friendly spot for food, drinks, and fun, is spreading its reach with a new location in Northern Colorado Springs. The restaurant, bar, and dog park is working on a 5565 Balsam St. property, development records show.

The expansion project is currently in the city approval process. Development plans includes a building footprint of 7,021 square feet, along with ample parking space. It will feature an expansive off-leash area, providing dogs with the perfect space to socialize and play.

Pub Dog North will offer a diverse menu of drinks and food, including the venue’s signature cocktails, craft beers, and wines, alongside pub snacks, soups, salads, quesadillas, sandwiches, burgers, and a dedicated dog menu with treats like Puppy Patties and Pupsicles.

Founded by Tara Downs, Pub Dog Colorado first opened its doors in April 2017. The business is in the running to be one of USA Today’s 10 Best Dog Bars in America. Voting is taking place for the next week and a half

“We are completely speechless that we are even being considered for this amazing award! We know that we have created an incredible one-of-a-kind destination where you can bring your doggo, enjoy the scenery of being nestled in the Rocky Mountains, participate in events and sip on some beautiful crafted food and drinks and be surrounded by our best friends that we call our Fur Babies!” Downs told What Now Denver.
