Chipotle Mexican Grill is preparing to open a new location at 2005 Federal Blvd, permits filed with the city show. The quick-service restaurant chain has submitted plans for a property in the College View neighborhood on the west side of the city.

This new restaurant will occupy the space previously held by a now-defunct H&R Block. The renovation will transform the 3,084-square-foot area into a modern drive-through restaurant with a pick-up lane and five parking spaces.

Documents show that construction is slated to begin on January 10, 2025, with an estimated completion date of March 15, 2025. The eatery will join the 15 others in Denver, which is the birthplace of the brand.

Chipotle has been on an aggressive growth campaign. The brand announced plans to open 300 new stores across the United States this year, bringing the total number of locations to approximately 3,600, and hiring 19,000 new employees.
