Sadboy Creamery is preparing to open its brick-and-mortar location in Denver, with construction currently underway on the new shop.
The ice cream business will open at 1502 Marion Street, taking over the former French for Sugar space just off East Colfax Avenue according to Westword. Owner Michael Kimball said on Instagram that the team is targeting a September opening.
Kimball said finding a location close to where Sadboy Creamery first got its start was a priority. “My number one goal was to stay as close as possible to the place and community where I got my start, and I think this storefront keeps it close while also giving our little business the space it needs to grow,” he wrote in the announcement.
Construction is currently underway, with additional details about the opening expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Sadboy Creamery is known for its small-batch ice cream, offering a rotating selection of handcrafted flavors and seasonal specials. Customers can expect pints, scoops and other frozen treats when the new shop opens later this year.
