After 15 years in business, Moe’s Original BBQ will officially close on February 8 at 181 N. College Ave. in Old Town Fort Collins, an Instagram post states. The change is happening to make way for Schneider’s Schnitzel Service, a new restaurant concept from longtime owner Ted Schneider and his wife, Ryan Corley.

Schneider, a seasoned chef with an extensive background in fine dining, has long been a staple of the Colorado food scene. According to the Schneider’s Schnitzel Service website, his culinary journey began at Grouse Mountain Grill. He later opened the Fort Collins location of Moe’s Original BBQ in January 2010.

The venture will focus on handcrafted German, Austrian, and Wisconsin-inspired cuisine, made from-scratch. Its redesigned interior will be inspired by Schneider’s grandfather’s 1950s fuel service station in upstate New York.

An Instagram account for the new business teased, “Something new is coming to Fort Collins, and we can’t wait to share it with you! Follow us to stay in the loop and be the first to know all the exciting updates!” It states that the eatery is coming in spring 2025.

What Now Denver’s request for comment was not returned before publication.
