A new Taco Bell is coming to the northern metro, according to job listings. The QSR brand was advertising online recently that it is “hiring new shift leaders for new store opening” at 12985 Quebec Street in Thornton.

The site is a near-acre lot in a commercial zone near the Walmart Supercenter and Advance Auto Parts store. City records show the vacant land was sold in 2023.

This development marks the latest addition to Alvarado Restaurant Nation’s growing portfolio of fast-food franchises. A major power player in the QSR world, it has earned multiple awards from YUM Brands and Taco Bell, including the Hard Hat Award for new unit development.

The franchise group oversees more than 200 Taco Bell and KFC locations across the United States. It started in 1984, when Linda and Robert Alvarado opened their first Denver Taco Bell, and has since expanded into New Mexico, California, Wisconsin, and Texas as well.
