The Picklr is bringing its biggest Colorado facility yet to Denver, transforming a former Big Lots into a massive indoor pickleball complex. According to 9 News, the recreational brand is working to get the property at 7475 E. Iliff Ave. ready for players.

Spanning 32,600 square feet, the Iliff location will include 11 individually fenced, professional-grade courts: three standard courts, six oversized, and two championship-level courts. The facility will also feature a warm-up/recovery area, locker rooms with showers, two private courts for events, a lounge, an upstairs viewing mezzanine, and a full pro shop, a local realtor’s post explained.

Co-owner Kyle Yates told What Now Denver that construction is expected to be completed in Q4, with hiring beginning in the fall. He says they plan to open by the end of this year or early next year.

“The Picklr Iliff will be Denver’s premier pickleball facility, and we can’t wait to share it with everyone,” he said. “Pickleball just keeps growing in Colorado, and we’re happy to offer one more great place to play right in the heart of Denver! “

Yates, a former world #1 pickleball player and Pickleball Hall of Fame inductee, is teaming up with established The Picklr franchisee Justin “JP” Parker to run this new location. Parker is a U.S. Air Force veteran, former Denver police officer, and current owner of The Picklr Aurora.
