Co-Owner Norma Rochford told What Now Denver that she and her brother Terrence Kane recently went on a site tour and currently have several locations of interest on their radar.
“Our territory is from Arapahoe to Boulder,” Rochford went on to explain. “So we’re looking all within, from Aurora to RiNo to Northglenn, etc.”
Back in June, What Now Denver reported that Kane and Rochford had plans to open nine locations in total, starting with their now-operating Greenwood Village store on Arapahoe Road. However, a few months later, the owners remain unsure as to just how many Capriotti’s they’ll ultimately take charge of.
“We’re not sure how many we’ll open [at this point]. I do believe [nine] is still our intention,” Rochford says. “We are excited that our current store is doing well and we do a lot of catering [which is great]. Oddly enough, though, this market has created a bit of lag time in finding locations because of landlords, etc. However, we are adamant about staying the course and finding the right places.”
As to where the duo will land next, it’s still unclear. “We have not secured a new location as of yet, but we’re hopeful it will happen soon. [We’re looking].” One thing Kane and Rochford do know is that their love of high-quality eats, especially deli-style sandwiches, runs deep — and they intend to bolden and broaden that very tradition started long ago by their food-loving father in New York.
