Church and Union has officially closed its doors. The restaurant served its final set of customers on Saturday, June 20. The team behind the restaurant shared the closure announcement on social media.
Popular Church and Union Denver Bids Farewell
Church and Union opened its Denver location in 2024 in the city’s Lower Downtown neighborhood. The restaurant is situated in Denver’s Lower Downtown, also known as the LoDo neighborhood. It was part of a restaurant group called the 5th Street Group.
According to Denver Post report, the restaurant was known for its flavorful menu and hand-painted ceiling inspired by The Art of War.
The restaurant announced the closure in a social media post. They wrote that after just two years of service, Church and Union Denver had served its final meal on June 20.
With an emotional note, the team added, “From our first visit to Denver five years ago, we fell in love with this city, and that feeling never left us. Serving the LoDo community has been a privilege and a joy we will carry with us.”
In the post, the Church and Union Denver team did not share any official reason for its closing.

Another Recent LoDo Restaurant Closure
Apart from Church and Union, the LoDo region was hit with another restaurant closure. Arcade-themed bar and restaurant 1UP Arcade Bar has also closed its LoDo location. The closure ended a 15-year run at the location.
The original 1UP Arcade Bar’s LoDo location on Blake Street closed and offered its last meal on June 22.
The Church and Union Denver team thanked the community and its customers for their support. The announcement prompted numerous reactions from customers on social media.
The closures remove two longtime dining and entertainment venues from Denver’s LoDo neighborhood.
