Via 313 Pizzeria, a popular Detroit-style pizza brand, is gearing up for further expansion in Colorado after securing $32.5 million in funding, Nation’s Restaurant News reports. This comes after the company first debuted in the state last year.
The funding, raised through a partnership with Asilia Investments and Brightwood Capital, will help the Austin-based brand grow, with plans to open 20 or more new units in the next three years. These stores will be in Colorado, Utah, and Texas, but the exact locations have not been revealed.
The brand first established a presence in Colorado last spring, opening its first store in Centennial in May by Park Meadows Mall, as reported by What Now Denver. This was followed by a location in Littleton in the fall.
Founded in 2011 by Detroit natives Brandon and Zane Hunt, Via 313 has grown from a humble trailer operation in Austin to a multi-state venture, the company’s website states. With over two dozen locations currently, this influx of capital will allow the brand to essentially double its unit count.
