Denver’s iconic X Bar, situated at 629 E Colfax Ave, may look different soon if permits to renovate are approved. The gay club is seeking to add a number of features to the establishment, city records show.

Currently, the formal site development plan for the project is listed as “resubmittal required”. Records show the construction work is valued at $750,000 and includes adding an enclosable patio, rooftop deck, ice cream and hotdog pavilion, and sculptural elements.

While the permitting process has not made much progress, X Bar posted on social media last month looking to hire for a maintenance position that includes doing construction work.

Other food items available at X-Bar include fried pickles, loaded fries, mozzarella sticks, burritos, chicken, tacos, nachos, and burgers. The company works in tandem with local business Saffron Grill to offer on-site, takeout, and delivery options.
