Burlington could be coming to downtown Denver’s 16th Street Mall, with the national off-price retailer in discussions to lease a large ground-floor space inside the historic Denver Dry Goods Building — 710 16th Street. According to BusinessDen, early real estate and finance discussions are underway regarding the property.
The business is reportedly considering approximately 23,000 square feet on the ground floor of the building, which is located near the intersection of 16th and California. A letter of intent is in process, and an application has been filed with the Denver Downtown Development Authority for $3.4 million in potential funding for improvements to the space.
This proposed Burlington would be the company’s first location within the city of Denver, but the retailer operates 17 stores elsewhere around Colorado. There are locations in Aurora, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Grand Junction, Greeley, Johnstown, Lakewood, Littleton, Longmont, Sheridan, Thornton, and Westminster, its website shows.
A Burlington representative told What Now that there is not yet any information available to share about the location.
