Arwa Coffee is on a mission to bring its award-winning Yemeni Coffee to communities across the country. As the brand franchises, that’s exactly what’s happening. According to a recently filed permit, Arwa Coffee is expected to open at Gosling Plaza III at 21940 Gosling Rd.
The permit further details that construction on the new Houston Arwa Coffee shop is slated to start in mid-July and wrap up at the end of September. If all goes well with permitting and the estimated $150,000 construction project, Arwa Coffee will have not one but two openings in the Greater Houston region this fall.
What Now Houston was the first to report on the brand entering the market last year. The plan is to debut the concept at 9719 Westhemier Road this fall. Hamza Khan is the franchisee for this location.
At the helm of the Gosling Road opening is Arwa Coffee’s Nidaa Rashid, who was listed on the permit.
Arwa Yemeni Coffee was started in December 2022 in Richardson. With the opening, founders Susan Shihab, Yazan Soofi, and Nora Soofi opened the first Yemeni coffee shop in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, aiming to share Yemeni culture and coffee heritage with the community.

The authentic and original cafe offers traditional drinks like the Jubani, ice refreshers like the Dragon’s Blood Refresher, and classic coffee drinks. Arwa Coffee is anticipated to open inside Golsing Plaza III at 21940 Gosling Rd by this fall.
