Burger King is working to bring its restaurants up to the new Burger King Sizzle Standards. According to a recently filed permit with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, Burger King at 3020 College Park Drive in Conroe is slated for a $550,000 renovation.

The Burger King is located in The Woodlands area. The address is an outparcel location directly associated with the College Park Shopping Center, sometimes referred to as the College Park Plaza area. This highly commercial retail hub features major anchors such as Walmart Supercenter, Kohl’s, and The Home Store.

The permit for the College Park Drive Burger King renovations notes that construction is expected to start toward the end of next month and wrap up by November 2027. If permitting goes smoothly and the estimated $550,000 construction project stays on track, the renewed Burger King should be completed and fully open for business by fall 2027.

“REMODEL OF EXISTING 3,760 SF BURGER KING TO COMPLY WITH NEW BURGER KING SIZZLE STANDARDS,” the permit reads.

“SCOPE INCLUDES DINING AREA AND EXTERIOR ELEVATION UPGRADES, WITH HVAC AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS MODIFIED AS REQUIRED.”

Allstate BK Real Estate Holdings, Ltd. and the Dhani Group are the franchisees behind this Burger King location. The Texas-based commercial property owner and developer operates across six counties, including Harris and Brazoria. Key contacts include Joahn Dumont and Shoukat Dhanani. What Now Houston reached out to both parties to find out more about the renovations. Unfortunately, we did not hear back from Dumont, and Dhanani confirmed the renovations but could not share further details by the time of publication.

“Burger King is known for serving high-quality, great-tasting, and affordable food,” the Burger King website reads.

“Founded in 1954, Burger King is the second largest fast food hamburger chain in the world. The original Home of the Whopper, our commitment to premium ingredients, signature recipes, and family-friendly dining experiences is what has defined our brand for 70 successful years.”

There are now more than 19,700 Burger King locations globally across over 120 markets, including roughly 6,400 to 8,000 locations in the United States. Texas has approximately 559 to 571 Burger King locations, making it the state with the most Burger King restaurants in the United States, including 84 to 85 locations in the Greater Houston region.

What Now also reached out to Matthew Fares, Burger King’s Senior Manager of Development, to learn more about renovations nationwide. But we did not hear back by the time of this publication.

Burger King at 3020 College Park Drive in Conroe will begin renovations this November, with plans to complete them by next November.
